Qatar

Here visitors also get to see the former residence of Sheikhs.











Al Khor Museum:








    The museum is located in Al Khor town located 57 kms north of Doha. The museum is a double storey building, with ground floor allocated for anthropological life, while the upper floor is set to display excavation discoveries in the area. The museum faces the seafront of Al Khor City.











Corniche







      This is a beautiful coastline that has a total length of seven kilometers and runs parallel with the Arabian Gulf. This tourist spot in Qatar is a wonderful place for leisure stroll, jogging, and walking. The environment is fresh and relaxing and perfect for family picnics.










Oryx Farm

Al Wakrah Museum





     It is located in Al Wakrah town, 17kms from the capital, displaying marine life and natural history materials.










The Doha Fort

Barzan Tower








    The tower, constructed during late 19th century, was originally built as watchtower and has a ‘T’ shaped architectural style, which is quite unique. It has three levels and an external staircase.












Desert Safari

Weaponry Museum







    It is located in Al Luqta area in the suburbs of Doha. The museum displays rare samples of daggers, swords, miscellaneous firearms and accessories. It displays a magnificent collection of ceremonial swords, including the gold-encased dagger owned by Sheikh Ali Bin Abdullah Al Thani, a sword belonging to King Faisal Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, and a traditional curved dagger that belonged to renowned Lawrence of Arabia.

Al Jassasiya






     The place is a series of rocky hills that is facing the northeastern coast of Qatar. It is a tourist spot in Qatar that is situated in between the villages of Al Huwailah and Fuwairit. The main attractions of the area are stone carvings during the pre-historic times and are preserved well.










Marroub Fort








     Is located on the west coast of Quatar and was built during the Abbasside period on the foundations of an older fort. It carries the inscription of Abbasside architectural style. Located along the northern side of the Fort, about 250 houses are grouped together so as to form an arch.









The Kingdom of Aladdin






 


      This tourist spot in Qatar is situated on the West Bay area. It is an entertainment place that is composed of more than 18 play features that suit anyone from any age group. The place has a rest house, an artificial lagoon, a theatre, and a cafeteria.










Al Bida Park








     The famous Al Bida Park is also located on this waterfront promenade. Housing various shops, food joints and sports enclosures, it is known to be the best picnic spot in Doha.










Khor Al Udaid Beach







    Located about 78 kilometers away from Doha, this tourist spot in Qatar is a beautiful beach that is famous for its wonderful sand dunes. The sand dunes have a height of 40 meters in specific locations.










Umm Salal Mohammed Fort









     It is located about 20kms towards north of Doha, and is built during late nineteenth and twentieth centuries. This Fort is characterized by its thick walls, impressive façade containing various decorative and architectural elements.









Al Rumaila Park







     Located within Corniche on Doha, the park has a spacious grass area and there are lots of shopping establishments, rides, and restaurants on its surroundings.









Water Sports and Cruises








     One of the main tourist spot in Qatar is the various water sports and cruises in the Arabian Gulf. A favorite pastime in Qatar is sailing and lots of private firms are offering windsurfing and parasailing as well as equipment rentals. Dahl El-Hamam Public Park
